Sorry, this may be cheesy and boring for all non-family members, but since we live away from everyone, things like this are necessary. So, this is really for our fam.

Nora has been talking up a storm lately. Since she's been in school with me, especially. The other day she was asking for more snack and said "I want some more". I almost fell out. I was so happy to get this on video because she usually freezes when the camera comes out. So, without further ado, here is Nora performing the names of our immediate family.

Fantasy Football

I'm taking a poll to see how many fantasy football leagues your husband's are joining. I'm pretty sure Kevin's in the lead with 5.

Here's Nora helping dad prepare for his draft.

Hallelujah, we made it to 18 months. I remember when Nora was born I kept saying, we just need to make it (as far as child care is concerned) a year 1/2. We tried different child care options and settled on one that worked out fine, but when she turns 18 months she gets to come to school with me. I felt so at peace going back this year knowing she would be right there with me. It's great and I'm blessed to be a working mom in this situation. Being a working mom is very difficult, especially when you don't really have a choice of whether you work or stay home (which is usually the case), but it's much easier knowing I have the option of bringing her with me. The Early Childhood program is literally right down the hall from my office and I can peak on her whenever I want. Here's some pictures of her first day. Her teacher said she was "more than happy" all day. It's also great to have co-workers come up to me and say, "I went to check on Nora for you and she's playing and looks happy". It's really a family environment and I'm thankful I have such good friends that will help me with her. Anyhoo....here are some pictures of her first day.

1 Down......

When I began my 5th year at ACU I remember my dad saying that I was on my own. Both our parents paid what they could during our college (which we are thankful for), but going to ACU ain't cheap. So, we have some school loans. And by some I mean a lot. So that's why today is a big day. My 5th year, 9 years after the fact, is now paid off. Sweet relief. 2 more to go.....

When we first married we traveled and had our fun, which is good, but thanks to Mr. Dave Ramsey, we're a bit more disciplined now and we're gettin' straight!

It's been a busy week with Angie starting full time work again. That's really cut into my fantasy football preparations. I'm in 5 leagues. I need help! Ang really does work extremely hard and sacrifices so much for our family.

The big news for this week, though, is that we went to our first "meet the teacher" night. That's very strange for me especially since Nora is only 17 months. But it's officially here. Monday, Nora will start school. Let the sentimental oozing begin. It's crazy how fast it goes. She'll be down the hall from Angie so that will be really cool and I know Nora will have a great time. You can for sure expect pictures of her first day soon. Uniform and all.
