Spring Program

We went to Nora's program last week and had so much fun. I'll never know how they get these kids to learn all the songs and motions, but they do. The kids were hilarious and so animated. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Every year they finish the show with graduation (which Nora will be in next year....NOOOO) and a slide show. I always leave with such warm fuzzies. I'm so thankful for this school.

This year Nora had lots of guests at her show. My mom was able to come into town and we were so excited!

The excitement continued when Nora found out AJ would be in attendance. :)

Receiving flowers from her best bud.

Her class sang "Going to the chapel" and they were paired with spouses. Her spouse was none other than her good friend, Dominick. I have to admit, I watched Nora maybe 1 minute and Dominick the other 5. He was SO hilarious.

Look at these faces! They were so into it. . .

I knew they threw the bouquet at the end, but the picture is so bad because I was laughing so hard at the big finish (pictured above).

What a great night. We had such a productive Memorial Day cleaning out our house, purging things we don't need and packing for the beach. Next post will be lots of pictures with water!! :)

What do we do when daddy's away, you ask? P,B, &J at Germantown Performing Arts on Saturday, picked some strawberries at the nearby (super muddy) strawberry patch, went home for a nice lunch and then to a birthday party for Nora's baby. We kicked the weekend off with makeovers. If I could take a picture of my face right now, I would. Don't worry, if you work with me, the remnants will probably still be there tomorrow.

Baby is pooped after her rockin' party filled with 90's music and lots of fun games. (I'd call her by her real name, but that is her real name. Baby) We had about 8 in attendance, but I was so busy I didn't even get a group picture. :)

Lots of stopping to change diapers, feed, and change clothes (poop accident) during the party... a definite chore.

I'm loving this new imagination Nora has. It makes entertaining less of a chore because I don't have to come up with all the ideas anymore. :)

Happy Mother's Day!

Thanks for the well wishes. We're all beyond excited.

Also soooo excited to find this beautiful rose in my rose bush this week. Typically everything I touch dies, so this is was a nice surprise to our day.

Just a few pictures of Nora and what she's been up to lately. She's so into helping me around the house and I'm trying to take advantage. She has chores of putting her clothes in the hamper and little things like that. We implemented that recently and she's doing great. At first I was paranoid about the length between Nora and this baby, but the more she's helping out around the house the more I think this distance will be a major blessing for us.

She's always been a mother hen as evidenced by this picture, and I can't wait to see how she grows in this department. What a great big sister to have! :)
