I felt like Nora's skin was looking yellow lately and I freaked thinking she had jaundice. Then someone else said she looked yellow to them, so onto the Internet I went. Did you know if a baby eats food that contains carotene such as squash, sweet potatoes, and carrots, it turns their skin yellow? I've been making my own baby food and guess what I just made and what Nora's been eating ALL week long. Squash, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Just dashed to the store and bought some apple sauce, green beans and avacados. Look at her face in the bath picture. I've turned my baby into a sweet potato! The things you learn. . . . .

So if she eats a lot of green beans/avocadoes and they turn her greenish, will she end up blue? (Or is it yellow + blue = green. I never can remember)

Okay, Candice....I deleted your comment because I had edited my blog and changed it from "test, 123" to an actual post and didn't want you feeling stupid. So, now leave a comment about my yellow baby. :)

I guess that is another one of those tidbits I failed to tell you:). You mentioned her color while you were here and I never thought about it being her food. Hey-did you know you can sign up to get free books for Nora through your library?!

Bryce was always orangy looking b/c he loved carrots as a baby. Now, he's the color of macaronni and cheese:).

We went to church growing up with a family that got obsessed with their juicer and they made carrot juice all the time. The whole family was orange. Better than blue.

Here's the link to Dolly Parton's free books. We just got Mer's 4th book this week. It rocks. Everybody sign up if you haven't already (if you live in TN!).
