We spent the weekend at a friend's lake house for some much needed R&R. It was so great. I'd like to give a shout out to my childhood friend, Candice, who kept Nora for us. You can click on her blog for pictures of Nora's weekend. I'm afraid any thoughts Candice might have had about having a fourth are long gone. It was the first time I've been away from Nora for over 8 hours so I was afraid it would be impossible to enjoy the time away. It was very comforting to leave her with a very good friend who I knew had much experience. I did really well and so did Nora. Hopefully this means she's ready for longer stays with the Texas relatives in the distant future, now I just have to work on getting ready for that one. :)

For the record, I was joking by putting my hand on my hip in that picture. I mean, come on. I was being stupid which is common but b/c this picture has been blogified, I have to make sure this is known. Look at me. I'm on a balcony in the woods. I'm gonna put my hand on my hip. On a cool note, I killed a wasp with a magazine. Like, a mid air, flying right at you home run swing. Yea, that makes me much cooler. That was right after my girlish shreeks and epileptic movements to run away from the deadly wasp.

I love picturing you and Kevin scrambling to get back on the chairs before the timer on the camera went off.
Your child is a dream and she can come back ANYTIME. Maybe we should make it (at least) a yearly event.
I'm up for that. And, yes, we were scrambling and had to do about three shots before we actually looked semi-relaxed. Dorks and we know it.
I was wondering who took that picture. Kevin is totally faking his "relaxed" chair pose. I'm so glad y'all had some "you time." I'm going to put "everything" I say in "quotes."
"You're gay." ...except the wasp killing thing.
Actually, I see Kevin standing like that all the time. Regularly. Routinely. Every day.
That is great that you guys got to get away...Just like the old days. Glad you guys had fun.
Sounds like a great weekend getaway! Those are so precious to any couple who has children...
Whatever Kevin, that is a natural pose for you...
You guys crack me up! It must be one big party at your house!! And I think it's great Nora loves the basketball...maybe she'll be able to shoot three-pointers like her daddy (and maybe her mommy, too?!!)! Elizabeth loves the "socca ball" right now. Hope you're doing well!
