Dallas Mavericks vs. Memphis Grizzlies

On Monday we decided at the last minute to take advantage of the Mavericks playing the Grizzlies for possibly the last time this year. We hopped in the car and drove downtown hoping to get a ticket. Being that Memphis doesn't have the most supportive fans in the world, there were plenty of tickets left. I'm sure all you planners out there (you know who you are) are gasping at the thought of doing this spontaneously, but we're hoping that having a baby hasn't slowed us down or turned us into schedulers, because we are sooo not schedulers. We'll see how that's working for us in a few years. :) ha... Nora did great, as you can see she was a little bored at the game but lucky for us she slept most of the time and was content when awake. We had lots of fun!! Go Mavs!!

GO MAVS! We took Parker to a Maverick game when he was just weeks old. He slept through the entire game. Season tickets were the first thing to go when we decided I would stay home to be a mommy. Nora is growing so big!

How fun!! Don't you LOVE the reaction of total strangers to a cute little baby! It's such a joy! Nora is adorable...can't wait to see her in person!

Okay, this is my third time to try and leave a stinkin' comment...and blogger keeps messing up!! So, here goes nothin'.

That is SO fun that you guys took her to a game. I remember the "early kid days" and we took our sleeping baby EVERYWHERE! It was so nice to still be able to go out and do fun things together, only then you have a CUTIE to show off! Our babies have been to movies, basketball and baseball games, out on dates with us, and on big trips. Carlie has even been to see Aerosmith! (It was crazy...I wouldn't recommend it. :) But, that's great that Nora has just become a part of your fun world.

I remember doing stuff like that with Hollyn. That first kid is so portable, especially in the beginning. Then the second one comes along. I don't know if you do less with the second one because of the oldest child or that you are so darn exhausted by that point. Do it for as long as you can.

Coreeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyy!

I've already been preparing her for Quartz Mountain. We've got the..wait.. what do you really need for Quartz Mountain? Tennis shoes. That's about it.

So glad you're keeping up with my blog. You're daughter is too cute. What's the name of #2?

The only thing you need for Quartz Mtn is a fundamental knowledge of the difference between granite and quartz. The good news is that you've got the foremost expert in Candice to teach Nora the difference. She had some private tutoring on the subject if i remember right (Candice - I hope you're reading this). ...I'm glad that growing up in Memphis, Nora will get a true love for Elvis (better than those weak Beatles anyday)- I'm glad all is going well for y'all and that you've got a sweet little girl on your hands....# 2 for us is Addie Kate -due in about 10 weeks...I know you're laughing it up thinking about me having all girls...the truth is that after having a daugher, i know there's nothing sweeter for a Daddy than his little girl(s).

Oh, Candice will be reading this..she's too bored with three kids and nothing to do, no blog of her own. I actually started a blog to embarrass Candice until she starts her own. www.candicerules.blogspot.com

Laughing it up is an understatement. Have you shared with Julia that I used to take notes on your male shovanistic ways and turn them in to your mom. You swept more porches than you can count because of me...
Tell your parents hello. :)
